On-site installations & finishing (such as kitchen benches or outdoor bars) will incur additional costs. Typically we include a small amount of resin for minor filling, however slabs with cracks, splits or decay may incur additional costs.

This depends on the slab’s unique characteristics and chosen leg design & location. Every slab is unique & requires a tailored approach.
Deep pour resin.
Resin can be tinted to complement the natural beauty of the timber, but we approach this with care to ensure your piece remains timeless. We often favour clear, or translucent smoky tones, allowing the grain and character of the slab to shine through.
When colour is used, we draw inspiration from the slab itself, harmonising with its textures and hues for a cohesive, organic look. While black resin is a popular choice—especially alongside matte black steel legs—we prefer subtler finishes that enhance the timber’s story without overpowering it.

Shane is a proud, tree-hugging Chippy who has been working as a carpenter and Joiner for in excess of 25 years. A great bloke who loves a yarn, Shane has developed his professional Expertise by working Extensively on family homes, helping to transform spaces through his unique and sought after craftsmanship.
Shane has found his niche in working with old hardwood, repurposing it into unique and customisable pieces that accentuate the natural beauty of timber. His story is built on the experimentation he has engaged in over the years. Every creation has has refined his workmanship and inspired him in some way.
His work with wood of all varieties has lead to him creating Transformative and versatile island benches. These pieces are an extension of shane’s affinity for wood, moulding and shaping them to match the needs of his customers.
